“Are you just beginning in your career or have you been working for decades? Whether you’re building a new practice or trying to break bad habits, you can use my Forearm Dance® Massage techniques to strengthen your foundation. Do you think posture is secondary? To me it’s essential, it’s primary. Good posture and body mechanics along with the appropriate use of tools helps us last and stay energized - both in the massage business and in life. The more you integrate Forearm Dance into your work, the younger you’ll feel. Whether you’re a practitioner in your 20’s or your 60’s you can still do Forearm Dance! - Val
About Val Guin
Val Guin is an internationally-known, certified massage therapist who has been doing bodywork for over 25 years. She is a founding member of the Santa Monica Center of Healing Arts where she maintains a private practice. Val is the Executive Director of the IPSB (Institute of Psycho Structural Balancing), California College of Massage and Bodywork in California, which features the IPSB Massage Technique.

Learning is exciting with Val, a gifted teacher who is frequently invited to present seminars and instruction at AMTA and other massage training events. The intuitive nature of her massage technique is reflected in the visual style of the FOREARM DANCE DVD, which enhances the quality of the learning experience.

After suffering severe injuries in her back and arm after being hit by a drunk driver, Val created Forearm Dance as a self-healing and practitioner-friendly form of massage. Val’s objective? Help you to save your hands and strength, keep your clients coming back for more and extend your massage career by using your forearm and olecranon (elbow) as a tool.

Val Guin’s Forearm Dance was written and produced by Ohana Productions Inc., founded by Val Guin and her daughter Natiya Guin. Ohana is the Hawaiian word for ‘family’, meaning “parents, their children and those they cherish”. The mission of Ohana Productions is to create instructional video programs to help people cope with and find freedom from stress and pain. Val, Natiya and team “Ohana” are also setting a new standard of responsibility in instructional massage programming and production. In order to reduce waste and promote recycling of manufactured goods the duo developed an 80% recycled packaging.

A portion of the proceeds from purchases of Forearm Dance are donated to the non-profit, charitable organization, Share Our Strength.
