About Jim Masterson & The Masterson Method
Jim Masterson, creator of the Masterson Method, was the Integrated Equine Performance Bodyworker for the United States Equestrian Team at the 2006 World Equestrian Games, in Aachen, Germany. He teaches a unique method of Equine Massage, also known as equissage, that uses neurological responses of the horse to touch, or feel, to find and release deep muscle and structural stress in key areas of the horse’s body that most affect regular and sports performance.
The Masterson Method focuses on the connective tissues of key junctions of the body that most affect performance. With this method you learn to recognize 8 neurological responses of the horse to your touch, and how to use those responses to release accumulated stress that restricts movement and causes muscle and structural imbalance in the horse. Jim shows you how to give a complete treatment that covers the key junctions of the body most commonly pulled out of alignment in performance horses.
